Founder and principal of Coaching International, Clare was born and raised in the UK. She moved to the US in 1987 after pursuing a degree in law and a career in Human Resources with a number of nationally and internationally known corporations. She then resumed her education with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and licensure in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1995. In 1998 she began specialized training in somatics, initially with The Strozzi Institute and then with Staci Haines in the domain of Trauma recovery. She is certified as a Master Somatic Coach by Strozzi Institute and is one of their Associates.
Clare's interest and specialty is working with those impacted by trauma and addiction, and Richard Strozzi-Heckler, Ph.D.'s 2003 book "Being Human at Work" includes her chapter "The Power of Somatics in Sobriety." Her own book "Unwinding the Trauma / Addiction Bind: Engaging the body, mind and spirit in healing trauma and addiction" will be published in 2008. Click here to read the introductory chapter.
